House marks/breweries around Martin-Luther-Platz

Erlangen boasted a staggering density of breweries in relation to the town’s population, particularly in the 19th century. The heart of the town’s beer production was on today’s Martin-Luther-Platz, the central square in the old town. Three concerns were located on the western side of the site, with the Niklas brewery to the north and the afore-mentioned Ott brewery to the east.
