The Erich Brewery
The idyllic square to the east of the Altstädter Church is not only graced with a fountain with a statue of a fishing boy. The imposing façade of what used to be the Erich export brewery is another eye-catching feature. The former company complex, which extends from Altstädter Kirchenplatz 6 as far as Theaterplatz, is today home to a social centre. The patrician residence and former home of the Erich family with its abundantly decorated façade is now used as a restaurant. The art nouveau décor in the exclusive top-floor bar is also well worth a look.
